Museum of Fine Arts In Saint Petersburg FL is a classic art museum of historical significance which is located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This museum was initially known as “Saint Petersburg Art Museum”. It did not acquire its current name until January 1981.

The museum also possesses works from American masters like Homer, Cassat and Bierstadt. One might even be able to spot some Egyptian artefacts at the museum. During 1950s and 1960s, an addition to this beautiful structure was made while preserving its original character. As result of that expansion project additional galleries were created to accommodate more wonderful art works of Fabergé, Degas, Rodin and many more.

It has also acquired a new orientation for contemporary art which is housed in the stunning Chihuly Collection that includes vibrant glass sculptures of Dale Chihuly. There are about 2000 square feet of exhibition space with another 2900 square feet devoted to special exhibitions. A nice cafe can be found at this museum where patrons can have light snacks without breaking the bank!
