Facilities managers at Agilent Technologies required a pipe replacement solution that wouldn't disrupt business operations on their busy Santa Clara, California Campus
An 8-inch drain line that serviced serveral Agilent buildings on the H ewlett-Packard Campus was constantly backing up. The line ran under beautiful mature trees; which, unfortunately, were also the cause of the frequent back-ups. To dig up and replace the drain line would have meant destroying the valuable landscaping or created and creating an unsightly and disruptive trench in the busy parking lot.
TRIC Tools and The Trenchless Co. were able to save the trees, alleviating the concerns assocaited with open cut trenching techniques. The chosen solution utilized pipe busting tools, methodology and consulting services from TRIC Tools. 200 feet of 8- inch terra cotta was renewed. After completion, the facilities managers at Agilent were so pleased with the results that there are already discussions for more work in the future.
